Are you a wanted person? If there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest, it has been entered into a state-wide computer system that is also accessed by other states. It is probable that any contact with law enforcement will result in an immediate arrest and incarceration. Persons with outstanding warrants may voluntarily turn themselves in at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office located at 106 4rd Ave East, Polson, Montana (please bring photo identification). Otherwise, law enforcement officers are working to execute active warrants and arrests may take place at a person’s home, place of work, or while driving. In addition to the normal cost of an arrest, arrestees may incur impound, towing, and storage charges for their vehicle due to their incarceration.
